Get your Bark on

So tonight I’ve been sorting out the bark on my tree man that I started the other day.

My idea with this model is that its based on a silver birch. So this is really just the bark upnto the lightest colour. Next I plan to add details on it, there are some little mushrooms / fungi and leaves on it.

I’ve also put a bit of blue over the sword, I always imagine that mithril silver would be blue, don’t know why perhaps it seems elfy. And I recond that sword is elf made.

Not started anything else on the staff want it to be a darker wood put not sure best way to get it looking textured yet.

In case anyone is intrested I got the bark by 3 layers of progres lighter colour up to white dry brushing over a layer of cream base coat that had been wash dark brown.
