So tonight I finished off (well not the bases but they do not count) 5 models that I last touched in May. This is really rather odd for me, nornally when I start painting a model it progresses until its done before I pick up the next, so don’t really know why these have been an exception.

I really like the models and I happy with how they have turned out so not sure what put me off them for so long, but I reckon I can easily just blame it on 2020!

I’ve still got their boss to finish who has also sat there since May. When he done and they are bases I’ll try to get some better photos.

On the base front they need to come from “Broken Plains” so I’m thinking using some crackle paint just not sure what else to add at this stage suggestions welcome!

Also if anyone is intrested these are from the game GodTear (which is amazing) by Steam Forged Games.

  1. I think you can do a lot with just crackle paint and some decent drybrushing. Maybe a bit of dessicated brush or a rock here and there to add interest?

I don’t know why but I love that phrase, “Exception that proves the rule.” ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Nice minis! ๐Ÿ™‚ I think I’d go with an earthy look with the odd winter tuft and small rock! I got some Mediterranean basing texture from Geek Gaming, which is a mix of fine sand, small pebbles/rocks and grass and that might look quite good for an arid landscape look!
